Clay County Kansas Emergency Management

Advisory

Be aware of changing weather conditions. Severe T-Storm WATCH issued for counties just west of Clay Co.

Be aware of changing weather conditions later this afternoon and this evening. A severe thunderstorm WATCH has just been issued for counties immediately to our west (Cloud, Republic, Jewell, Mitchell Lincoln).
A weather watch indicates the potential for severe or damaging weather conditions.
Weather conditions this weekend are also of concern. Stay aware of changing forecasts over the next few days as the predicted storms on Saturday and Sunday could be very dangerous storms!
Have multiple ways to receive emergency messages and weather alerts at your home and at work. Have a NOAA All Hazards weather radio and listen to KCLY 100.9 FM for immediate messages about severe weather in the Clay County area.
Be sure everyone in your family or business knows the emergency plan. What to do, how to stay safe, where to meet after the storm if you are separated and what to take with them to shelter if necessary.
