TEST Tornado Watch Issued 
The National Weather service has issued a TEST tornado Watch until 2:00 p.m. Today (4/24/2014). The City of Ripon Tornado Sirens will sound at 1:45 p.m. for 3 minutes. This is only a test!
An All-Clear will not be issued. Please take this opportunity to review and exercise your “plans” for this event.

Outdoor Warning Sirens will be activated. NOAA weather Radios will be activated. Emails will be sent and “auto” phone calls will be made alerting of the event.
There are several misconceptions about outdoor warning sirens that should be cleared up:
- Outdoor Warning Sirens are not meant to be heard indoors. Although you may hear them indoors they were not designed for that purpose.
- Outdoor Warning Sirens will occasionally not be activated or fail to sound because of mechanical/technical problems or a tornado was not reported until after the fact.
- There is no all clear issued. It is your responsibility as an individual to make yourself aware of any clear and present danger—and taking the appropriate action.
- Be informed, stay informed and stay safe.
