Two suspects arrested for selling narcotics from local business
On April 24th, 2014 a month-long joint investigation between the Nash and Edgecombe County Sheriffs’ Offices culminated in the arrest of the owner and founder of B and R Auto Sales on N. Church St.in Rocky Mount, NC. Brothers Benjamin and Reginald Ransome were both arrested for drug charges after Investigators executed search warrants at B and R auto sales at 820 N. Church St. and 1716 Fletcher Dr. Rocky Mount, NC. During the search of B and R Auto Sales, Deputies found ninety-six (96) grams of Marijuana, a shotgun and items of paraphernalia used to repackage narcotics. At 1716 Fletcher Dr., Investigators located twenty-eight (28) grams of powder Cocaine, eight grams (8) of Marijuana, a stolen handgun and items of paraphernalia used to repackage narcotics.
Members of the Division of License and Theft also assisted in the search of B and R Auto Sales. Below are listed charges for the two suspects.
