On April 30, 2014 at approximately 3:16 p.m., Los Banos Police Detectives arrested a 19-year-old Los Banos man in connection with the April 20, 2014, robbery of a local convenience store in the 500 block of West I Street. The suspect, Gustavo DeAlba was taken into custody at his residence.
Los Banos Police in cooperation with the California State Lottery Police served a search warrant at DeAlba’s residence, located in the 800 block of Illinois Avenue. Detectives recovered evidence of the crime including the firearm used during the commission of the robbery.
“DeAlba has been a suspect since the initial phases of this investigation; we have strong evidence in this case. Our Detectives have been working with the Department of Justice crime laboratory examining evidence linking DeAlba to the crime.

DeAlba was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail Facility, charged with armed robbery, and felon in possession of a firearm. DeAlba was later transferred to the John Latorraca Correctional Facility. DeAlba posted bail in the amount of $150,000.00.
