Got Drugs? LASD Safe Drug Drop Off Program for Unwanted Prescription & Illegal Drugs (Video Link Attached)
Last week was the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) national “Take Back” campaign to give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department provides this service year-round. Under the “Safe Drug Drop Off” program, clearly marked bins can be located at Sheriff’s Department Patrol Stations throughout the county. Illegal drugs can also be dropped off in the appropriately marked bins. This service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
For residents in Norwalk, La Mirada, Whittier (Co.), and surrounding communities, pills and illegal drugs for disposal can be dropped in the appropriately marked white bins located in front of Norwalk Station at:
12335 Civic Center Drive, Norwalk, CA 90650.
For additional drop off locations, check with your local Sheriff’s Station for details. Stations can be found on line at:
