On Saturday, March 29, 2014, at approximately 10:30 P.M., Nelva Hernandez was in front of her sister’s home at 3835 Cimarron Street when she was shot and killed by an unknown assailant. Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported Hernandez to California Hospital in critical condition.
On April 5, 2014, Hernandez succumbed to her injuries and she was pronounced dead.
To date detectives have been unable to locate many eyewitnesses to the shooting.
