Just a reminder if you haven't taken the survey on our website, www.woodheightsfire.com , please do this week as we will be removing it Friday.

This survey is vitally important for our upcoming board meeting so we can discuss the options on placing this on the August Ballot. This survey will help us understand what the citizens of the district want from the fire department and if they want us to have the tools and equipment to keep improving. The survey also is about the possibility of going Full Time as well.

Without this levy the possibility of homeowner insurance costs going up is very possible due to the ageing equipment and trucks as well as funding not available to certify trucks each year. We appreciate your support and will be holding a public meeting possibly in June and invite everyone in the district to attend to better understand why the levy is needed. The homeowner insurance costs decreased 2 years ago by as much as 58% per some homeowners so this levy increase is only a fraction of what it will cost if we don't get it passed to keep our rating where it needs to be or improve it to save you even more money.
