While on routine patrol in Bordentown City a vehicle was located on the 100 block of Prince St. violating motor vehicle laws. Ptl. Joe Bourn affected a traffic stop during which time he smelled a strong order of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Ptl. Bourn requested the K9 Narcotics dog to do a preliminary perimeter search which came back positive. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the individuals within the vehicle had suspected CDS and drug paraphernalia, as well as open containers of alcohol. Ptl. Bourn with DSgt. Lafferty arrested three individuals Cristian Deleon 20 of Princeton, Andreas Segura 20 of Hamilton, and Jaqueil Waldron 19 of Hamilton, and charged them with Possession of CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle. A call for service was received that a suspicious white male was looking into the window of a residence home in the 300 block of Willow St. Det. Vincent Bernotas and Chief Matthew Simmons were dispatched for the call and started a canvas for the male fitting the description given. The suspect was located as he was boarding the Light Rail Line, at which time Det. Bernotas was able to detain the train and confirm the identity of the male. The suspect was then identified as Brian Barto 31 of Morrisville, PA. As Mr. Barto was being questioned he did admit to being the individual looking into the homes of the residence on Willow St. During the search of the suspect it was found that the suspect had a box cutter as well as Heroin on him. The suspect was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Case is pending. Arresting Officers Det. Vincent Bernotas and Chief Matthew Simmons III.

May 13, 2014
During a special detail located on Rt. 130 Det. Bernotas had effected a routine traffic stop for a vehicle speeding. While obtaining the individuals credentials it was observed that he had CDS in his center console. The suspect was asked to exit the vehicle while Det. Bernotas searched for further CDS. The suspected identified as Keelan Glover 22 of Mt. Holly was charged with Possession of CDS and Drug Paraphernalia. Case is pending. Arresting Officer Det. Vincent Bernotas.
