After an absence from Rocky River, the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon is again running in our town on Sunday, May 18, 2014. The route includes Lake Rd. west to near the Bay Village line and then east onto Avalon Dr, back onto Lake Rd and into Lakewood via the Cliffton Bridge. Parking will be prohibited on Sunday May 18 on Lake Rd and Avalon Dr between the hours of 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Traffic in the race route area will be restricted and disrupted during the race hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Please be aware that race route safety cones and traffic markers will be in place for the approximately 2,000 runners expected to run the entire route. During this exciting event vehicular traffic will be limited on Avalon Drive and traffic crossing over Lake Road will be also be restricted while the race is in progress. In addition, expect spectator parking on all side streets adjacent to Lake Road. Your patience and support for this prestigious event is appreciated.
