On Thursday 05/15/14 Deputies were dispatched to a Kidnapping and Domestic Assault located on Hwy 231 near Middlesex. When the Deputies arrived they located the victim with injuries to her head and facial area. The victim told Deputies that she was kidnapped at gun point from her residence on Bray Road in Bailey by her Ex-boyfriend Craven Whitley. Witnesses were able to chase after the suspect and the victim was able to escape from Whitley. During the entire event Whitley rammed the witnesses vehicle with his vehicle and also shot into the same vehicles nearly missing the witness. The suspect also shot the tires on the vehicles several times. At one point the suspects brother Christopher Whitley got involved and assaulted the witness several times.
Craven Whitley was located and taken into custody at the time of the incident and Christopher was apprehended later Thursday night. The victim and witness received medical treatment and were released form the hospital later that day.

Charges- 1st Degree Kidnapping, Assault w/ Deadly Weapon w/ Intent to Kill, 2cts discharging a weapon into occupied vehicle, Felony Larceny, Assault on female, Injury to personal property, and communicating threats.

Bond- $150,000.00 secured

Suspect 2- Christopher Rex Whitley w/m 12/05/78 35 yoa
8000 block of Hwy 97 Middlesex NC

Charges-- 1st Degree Kidnapping, Assault w/ Deadly Weapon w/ Intent to Kill, 2cts discharge weapon into occupied vehicle, Felony Larceny, Assault on female, Injury to personal property, and communicating threats.

Bond - $25,000.00 Secured.
