PRESS RELEASE: Warsaw Police arrest North Webster father manufacturing Meth with son present.

May 20, 2014

This morning around 7:00 a.m., Warsaw Police Narcotics officers arrested the father of a nine (9) year old child after it was found that the father was cooking meth with the child present. Initially Warsaw Police undercover narcotics officers purchased meth from 34 year old, Steven Lynn Iden II, of North Webster. After the purchase, it was determined that Iden was currently manufacturing meth in his apartment in North Webster, with his son present. Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Indiana State Police, and Warsaw Police responded to 560 S. Main Street, Apartment #1 in North Webster. Upon entering the upstairs to the building, the strong odor of chemicals and a chemical haze was present. Officers entered the apartment and found Iden trying to dispose of the meth manufacturing products. The North Webster Fire Department was called to the scene along with Kosciusko County Child Protective Services. The child was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital to be checked out and was taken into protective custody by CPS. The Indiana State Police and Warsaw Police clandestine lab teams were called to the apartment to clean up the scene. Iden was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and booked in on a B felony charge of dealing/delivering/manufacturing methamphetamine. Additional charges may be forthcoming. His bond was set at $10,000 surety.
