Suspect arrested for Possession with Intent to Sell Heroin 
On 05-28-2014, a Nash County Sheriff’s Office investigation led to the arrest of Matthew Pittman for heroin possession. Pittman was a passenger in a vehicle that involved in a traffic stop on I-95 near the north bound rest area. During a search of Pittman during the traffic stop, Pittman was found to be in possession of thirty (30) individually packaged bags of heroin. A later search of Pittman’s residence turned up an additional thirty-three (33) individually packaged bags of heroin. Additional paraphernalia was also located at Pittman’s residence. Pittman was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for the keeping and storage of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pittman was confined to the Nash County Jail under a $60,000.00 secured bond.\
