Central Fire District in conjunction with CAL FIRE and Aptos La Selva Fire District are conducting fire safety inspections in the wildland/urban interface areas of Santa Cruz County. This is an effort to improve fire safety for homeowners in theses areas. Fire Inspectors will be notifying homeowners of any necessary corrections needed to create defensible space around their homes.
