REMINDER: Sold Out Cher Concert, Allstate Arena, 6/7/14, Heavy Traffic expected, avoid area. Allow extra travel time 
On Saturday, June 7, 2014 the Allstate Arena in Rosemont will be hosting “CHER” in concert. This concert is a complete sellout and therefore the Rosemont Public Safety Department is expecting much heavier than normal traffic on all roadways around the Arena, including the Westbound I-90 (Jane Adams Tollway) approaching the Lee St. exit. Compounding the heavy traffic is the continuing major road construction in both directions of Mannheim road from Higgins Rd., South to Irving Park Rd. and on Lee St. over the I-90 (Jane Adams Tollway) as well as continuing Tollway construction projects.
The Public Safety Department recommends that motorists not attending the concert should avoid the area around the Allstate Arena, if possible until the concert start time.
Concertgoers are strongly advised to allow extra travel time due to the volume of traffic expected as well as the construction. Concertgoers are also encouraged to use the free remote parking lot. Free remote parking is available at 1011 West Touhy Ave. in Des Plaines. Free shuttle bus service will be available before and after the concert, to and from the remote parking lot.
