FRAUD ALERT - PHONE CALLS FROM FAKE COP 
The Livingston County Sheriff's Department has received complaints from a number of county residents who were called by man claiming to be an officer from the county's warrants division. The caller tells the resident that he has a warrant for their arrest and they must send him money immediately to avoid arrest. No citizens have yet fallen for this hoax to our knowledge. The caller uses a disguised phone number with a 517 area code.
If you receive such a call, do not give the caller ANY information, just hang up.
