Scott County Crash Injures Five

Scott County-This morning shortly after midnight, a 911 call was received at the Scott County Dispatch Center of a two car crash that had occurred on Interstate #65 South Bound at the 27.5 Mile Marker. When officers arrived they discovered a white 2010 Hyundai was traveling north on Interstate #65 and for an unknown reason crossed the center median into South Bound traffic. When the white Hyundai crossed the median it struck a black 2014 Ford pickup truck travelling south on Interstate #65. The Hyundai was being driven by Evan Allen, 28, from Scottsburg, IN. The black Ford pickup truck was being driven by Roger A. Timbrook, 53, from Fort Wayne, IN. The black Ford pickup truck had three passengers, Margaret Timbrook, 51; Jennifer L. Timbrook, 17 and Jonathon Timbrook, 21 years of age, all from Fort Wayne, IN.

The Indiana State Police Reconstruction Team was called to the crash scene to reconstruct the crash. All occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seat belts and all occupants of both vehicles were transported to the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY by either air ambulance or ground ambulance with serious injuries.

Assisting troopers at the scene was the Scottsburg City Police Department, the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, the Sellersburg Police Department, Scott County EMS and the Scottsburg Fire Department.
