On 06/17/14, at approximately 3:30 PM, the Campbell Police Department responded to the US Bank (1998 S. Bascom Avenue) on a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred. The suspect was seen fleeing the bank on Bascom Avenue towards Hamilton Avenue.
Officers responding to the bank located a subject who matched the description given by bank employees. That subject was found to be in possession of the stolen money and was positively identified by bank employees as the subject who had robbed the bank. The suspect is identified as: Mark Flanigan, 56 years old, transient. The suspect was recently released from custody and is on parole for a prior bank robbery.
Officers recovered over $1200 that was taken from the bank and the suspect will be booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on bank robbery charges.
