ID the Missing Event, Thursday June 26th, 2014 
The third "ID the Missing" event will be held on Thursday June 26th, 2014 from 8am-4pm at the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office. The event was created to help identify human remains held at Medical Examiners Offices across the nation by matching them to family reference DNA donated by the families of missing persons. Families are asked to bring at least two biological donors, police reports, photos, dental records and x-rays of their missing loved ones.
Since this event was created, over 35 missing persons cases have been resolved in Michigan.
The "ID the Missing" event is a partnership between the Michigan State Police, the Detroit Police Department, the Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office and The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) at the a University of North Texas- who processes all the DNA provided.
