June 26th deadline approaching for Superstorm Sandy affected residents to apply for SHARP Assistance.

SHRAP offices in Atlantic, Bergen, Hudson, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Union counties will accept new applications through June 30, 2014 and also continue to process recertifications. Initial appointments already scheduled later than June 30th will be honored; individuals will be met and assessed for services.
SHRAP is a temporary relief program designed to assist individuals and families who are experiencing a housing crisis as a result of Superstorm Sandy. Eligible households will be provided with assistance for paying:
• Housing expenses such as current or past due mortgage payments, rent, property taxes
• Retroactive or current utility payments
• Purchase of essential furnishings/appliances
Call SHRAP Line at 201-906-6738 between June 1-June 30, 2014
to schedule a future appointment for the SHRAP application.
Must call before June 30, 2014
