On Thursday, July 3, 2014, the Jurupa Recreation and Park District will be hosting their 17th annual Independence Celebration Event. The event will take place at the Jurupa Valley High School, located at 10551 Bellegrave Ave., Jurupa Valley. The event will begin at 4:00 P.M. and end at 10:00 P.M.

A large amount of citizens are expected to attend the event, including a large amount of pedestrian foot traffic. Since there are a limited number of parking spaces located at the Jurupa Valley High School, road closures are scheduled to take place during the event. The closures are scheduled as follows:

Northbound Etiwanda Ave. at 50th St.
Southbound Etiwanda at Cantu Galleano Ranch Rd.
Eastbound Bellegrave Ave. at Jurupa Rd.
Northbound Martin St. at 48th St.

Overflow parking will be located at the dirt lot located on the southeast corner of Bellegrave Ave. and Etiwanda Ave. There will also be available parking along the west side of Etiwanda Ave. from Cantu Galleano Ranch Rd. to Bellegrave Ave. Motorists will also be allowed to park along Cantu Galleano Ranch Rd. east of Etiwanda Ave.

The primary goal of the Jurupa Valley Police Department is to ensure the safety of all who attend the event. The Jurupa Valley Police Department is asking the citizens who plan on attending the event to be patient and mindful of the large amount of traffic that is expected in the area during the Independence Celebration Event.
