On Friday, June 27th through Sunday, June 29th, 2014, the Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) will be hosting their annual Picnic in the Park celebration. The event will take place at the Eastvale Community Park, located at 12750 Citrus Street, Eastvale. The event schedule is as follows: Friday, June 27th from 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., Saturday, June 28th from 12:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. and Sunday, June 29th, from 2:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.

JCSD is expecting a large amount of citizens to attend the Picnic in the Park celebration, including a large amount of pedestrian foot traffic. Since there are a limited number of parking spaces located at the Eastvale Community Park, road closures are scheduled to take place during the event. The closures are scheduled as follows: Westbound Citrus Street from Hamner Avenue to Scholar Way will be closed each day the event begins until the event ends. The following streets adjacent to the park will also be closed during the event: Northview Street, Carrollton Place, and Mayfield Street.

Overflow parking will be located at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, located at 7447 Scholar Way, Eastvale. A free shuttle bus will shuttle attendees from Eleanor Roosevelt High School to Eastvale Community Park.

The primary goal of the Eastvale Police Department is to ensure the safety of all who attend the event. The Eastvale Police Department is asking the citizens who plan on attending the event to be patient and mindful of the large amount of traffic that is expected in the area during the Picnic in the Park celebration.
