On June 26th, 2014 Investigators with the Nash County Sheriff’s Office assisted the North Carolina Department of Community Corrections with a search of an individual on probation and his residence. Authorities searched the residence of Johnny Lee Richardson Jr.(age:21) at 11379 Highway 64 Alternate in Spring Hope. During the search, another individual on probation was also located at the residence. Travis Rogers(age:23), 120 Hickory Ln. Spring Hope, was located at the residence with Richardson. During a search of the residence, Investigators located 39.8 grams of Marijuana,10 grams of powder Cocaine, 19.9 grams of Crack Cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Law enforcement also seized $2,390 in US currency during the search.

Richardson, who is on probation for two convictions of possession of a schedule II controlled substance; was charged with trafficking Cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for the keeping and storage of a controlled substance, felony possession of Cocaine, simple possession of Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Richardson received a $95,000.00 secured bond.

Rogers was charged with trafficking Cocaine, simple possession of Marijuana (2 counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rogers, who is on probation for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting a public officer, received a $75,000.00 secured bond. Both suspects are scheduled to make their first court appearance on July 1st, 2014 in Nash County District Court.
