Earlier this morning, 06-30-14, AEPD received information that unknown persons had gone through a number of mailboxes on Berkeley Road (Avonwood). Currently, the time frame is estimated to be from sometime this weekend and up until this morning.
Citizens are cautioned against sending payments, gift cards and any correspondence that may have personal/sensitive information listed. Persons going through maiboxes may be looking for currency, gift cards and/or information that could be used for ID Theft.
Mailboxes located on the curbside with the flag up, indicate to everyone (not just the mail carrier) that there is something inside to be picked up.
