Advisory
Fireworks Illegal In Jackson (And Most Places)
Devices that explode or fly, such as firecrackers and rockets, are illegal to possess or use in Jackson. "Permits" issued by stores aren't valid. Fountains, snakes, snaps, and sparklers are fine. Remember to watch the youngsters, though; sparklers burn at 2,000 degrees and cause more injuries nationwide than firecrackers. A citation for $155 can be issued for using illegal fireworks, and they can be confiscated as contraband.
