Suspects Caught at Pacheco High School Pool
On June 30, 2014 at approximately 1:19 a.m., the Los Banos Police Department responded to the Pacheco High School pool after receiving a report of a possible vandalism in progress.
Officer Nathan Bowling arrived and attempted to contact five suspects in the pool. Three of the suspects, 18-year-old Daniel Tunnel, 20-year-old Isaac Robles, and 18-year-old Anthony Cervantes ran from the area as the Officer attempted to detain them. Two juveniles were detained while a second responding Officer stopped Tunnel, Robles, and Cervantes on the opposite side of the school grounds. All five suspects were placed under arrest.
Officers discovered the suspects had damaged property by throwing items such as chairs, benches, and garbage cans into the pool. School staff responded to secure the school grounds and assess any other damage. All five suspects were cited for trespassing and vandalism. In addition the parents of the juveniles will receive administrative citations because their children were out past curfew.
“Thankfully an alert neighbor reported the activity to the police department. Had it not been for the neighbor, the suspects could have caused a lot of damage leaving the school with a large repair bill. We will pursue these five suspects and the juvenile’s parents to ensure they are held accountable.”
