Advisory

TRAFFIC SAFETY IN ANNVILLE - Yield to Pedestrians and observe posted speed limits.

Summer is in full swing and the July 4th Holiday is upon us. Annville Township Police want to remind motorists to slow down and use caution when driving in Annville.

Thanks to the Annville Township Public Works Department the major crosswalks on Route 422 (Main Street) have been repainted for maximum visibility. We have also painted the stop bars and turn arrows at the square in Annville, the intersection of Route 422 (Main Street) and Route 934 (White Oak Street). Motorists are reminded to stop and yield to pedestrians in the crosswalks and observe posted speed limits. The Police Department will continue to conduct speed enforcement and monitoring & enforcement of crosswalks.

It is also critical that all traffic approaching the square stop at the marked stop bars, especially the left turn lanes. Traffic stopped past the stop bars causes significant traffic delays and safety issues when trucks and large vehicles turn in the intersection.

We welcome everyone to stop in Annville and explore what our small town has to offer, but please drive carefully and safely.
