During the early morning hours of July 4th, 2014, a person in a Red or Maroon GMC Envoy SUV entered the Huts Laser Wash Car Wash located at 3440 8th Street South in Wisconsin Rapids. (Exterior Building Lights Cause the Vehicle Color to Look Different)
The suspect then drove up to one of the control panels for the car wash and spent some time damaging and attempting to break into the machine to steal money (video clips were shortened). The person was unable to gain access and failed at the theft. The suspect then attempted the same at the second control panel and again damaged it, but was unable to gain any access.

The front plate of the vehicle was not displayed as the vehicle drove into the driveway. The vehicle features that are distinguishable are that it has a moon roof, and crossbar racks. Upon exiting the car wash driveway, the suspect exited the vehicle and appeared to go to the back of the vehicle to possibly cover the license plate so as to not be viewed. The suspect appeared to be wearing a hooded sweatshirt, again to conceal his/her identity.

This was obviously the work of someone skilled enough to know how to attempt this type of theft, even though the suspect failed to steal anything, but did cause a combined amount of damage of $700.00 to the control panels.
