"PAWS TO READ THIS WEEK @ CHULA VISTA LIBRARY'S SUMMER READING PROGRAM: JULY 7-13

The Chula Vista Public Library continues its 50th annual Summer Reading Program, “Paws to Read,” through Saturday, July 19. Kids, teens and adults -- sign up online at www.chulavistalibrary.com or in person at any of the three library branches. You can read for six, 12, 18 or 24 hours and receive a prize at each level. You can also read to those unable to yet read.

Highlights of the week are:
Civic Center Branch:
- Adults: Painting Workshops, Tues, July 8 & 15, 5 pm (space limited; registration required)
- Kids Yoga with Yoga Rascals, Tues, July 8, 1 pm
- Teen Book Club: Eleanor & Park, Tues, July 8, 3:30 pm
- Author Talk & Travel Presentation: Chasing a Dream in the Galapagos: A Personal Evolution by Bette Pagas, Tues, July 8, 6 pm
- Amazing Dana Magic Show, Wed, July 9, 2 pm
- Affordable Care Act Info Table, Thurs, July 10, 1-4 pm

South Chula Vista Branch:
- Kindergarten Boot Camp, Mon-Wed, July 7-9 & July 14-16, 10:30-Noon & 1:30-3 pm. For kids entering kindergarten this fall. Registration required at 619-585-5760 or [email protected]
- Preschool Nutrition Class, Tues, July 8 & 15, 11 am. Sponsored by San Ysidro Health Center
- Adults Painting Program, Wed, July 9 & 16, 5 pm. (Space limited; registration required)

- Animal Tracks Scavenger Hunt, Thurs, July 10, 4 pm
