Once again Windsor Heights will join communities across America for their award winning “Night Out Against Crime and Violence”. This year’s event will be full of FREE family activities and fun. There will be lots of family fun with food, games, rock climbing, bounce house, dunk tank, canine demonstration, barrel train rides, police and fire equipment to view, and a game truck. Prizes and drawings will take place throughout the event and a helicopter will be on static display (weather permitting).

Each year a community service project is held in conjunction with the Windsor Heights event. This year the Police Association will be collecting new gift cards to benefit families of Iowa National Guard service men and women who are on deployment. Please bring new and unused gift cards in any denomination. Donations will also be accepted that will go to the purchase of additional gift cards. Silent auction items will be available to bid on with all proceeds going to benefit our service project.

Don’t forget your lawn chair and make an evening out of it! The Greater Des Moines Community Band will play at 7PM as part of the Music in the Park summer concert series.
