Southern Pines Police Department
Announces Arrest for:
First Degree Murder
and
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Marshall Tristan Shaw, 27 years of age of Southern Pines, North Carolina for First Degree Murder and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. This arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of the Southern Pines Police Department pertaining to a homicide which occurred on June 29, 2013 at approximately 11:45 pm, on S. Hardin Street in Southern Pines, NC. The victim of this homicide was 27 year old Floyd Elmer Williams.
Marshall Tristan Shaw, appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Center pending a hearing on July 22, 2014 in Moore County District Court.
