It is with regret to announce that EAPD K-9 Zando passed away suddenly early Thursday morning due to a medical complication. K-9 Zando, with his handler, Lt. Shane Krieger served as the EAPD K-9 unit for 7 years. Together they were instrumental in several major arrests involving drugs that often resulted in asset seizures. Zando will be laid to rest in a private service.
