The Southern Pines Police Department would like to take this opportunity to thank the community for the confidential anonymous “tip” related to the theft from Vito’s Restaurant. In less than ten minutes after the initial NIXLE alert, information was provided to the SPPD. This lead was immediately followed up on and the stolen property was recovered. Arrested was Alice Elizabeth Demarco, 29 years old of Southern Pines North Carolina. Alice Elizabeth Demarco was charged with Larceny, Possession of Stolen Property and Injury to Personal Property. Alice Elizabeth Demarco is currently incarcerated in the Moore County Detention Facility.

The SPPD is seeking the assistance of the community identifying a larceny suspect depicted in the attached photographs.
On July 4, 2014, 12:15 am at Vito’s Restaurant, 615 SE Broad Street, a white female stole a table from the outside patio of the restaurant. This larceny was recorded on video. The female was accompanied by a dog which arrived and departed with the suspect. The vehicle is a large four door vehicle, white or a similar light color. The female suspect is described as a white female wearing a pink shirt, black shorts or a black skirt. The K-9 is medium size and is white in color with brown spots.
