Southbound SR 87 closed at Milepost 246 for post-incident investigations. It is unknown when the highway will be re-opened; DPS and ADOT remain on scene. Payson Fire units were working a motor vehicle collision in the area and a secondary collision occurred while they were on scene. The patient from the second incident was treated and flown to a Valley trauma center by DPS Ranger Helicopter. We will update when the road is re-opened or when new information is received.
