Hefty Fines for Fireworks Violations
Several people were cited over the July 4th holiday weekend for fireworks violations. Police issued at total 15-citations totaling over $16,000.00 in fines for “Unlawful Possession of Dangerous Fireworks” and “After Hours Discharge of Fireworks.”

Any leftover fireworks, both legal and illegal, can be turned into the Los Banos Fire Department for proper disposal; no questions asked. The Fire Department can be reached at (209) 827-7025.
