Beware of callers suggesting your electric bill is overdue and your electric is about to be turned off unless you purchase a pre-paid debit card and then call another number to apply that card to you account along with collecting personnel information. This scam is similar to one used against other utility companies in NJ.
If you receive calls such as this please notify your local police department and the utility company.
