The Chula Vista Public Library and local non-profit news organization Voice of San Diego will cap off their first News Literacy workshop series with a community conversation on
Tuesday July 29 from 6:00-7:30 p.m..
“Let’s Talk Chula Vista” is a community conversation with outgoing Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox and new City Manager Gary Halbert.
This conversation- led by VOSD CEO Scott Lewis- is the capstone to our first News Literacy workshop series. We’ve worked directly with Chula Vista residents to use technology and social media to become civically engaged in their community. Now residents will get a chance to directly ask questions of their city leaders.
The free, public event will be held at the South Branch library located at 389 Orange Avenue. The conversation with elected officials will focus on the future of Chula Vista. Light refreshments will be provided.
