National Night Out in Menifee
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in cooperation with the cities of Menifee, Perris, Canyon Lake and the surrounding unincorporated communities is hosting National Night Out on Saturday August 2, 2014. This event will take place at Wheatfield Park in the city of Menifee from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The purpose of our National Night Out event is to promote crime prevention throughout our neighborhoods and communities, all in an alliance against criminal activity. Officials with the cities of Menifee and Perris have repeatedly referred to this event as “a signature city event.” With the collaborative efforts of our great cities, county leaders, fellow public safety agencies, and our outstanding businesses community this will truly be an event to remember. We anticipate a record turnout (about 6,000 guests) for this family focused, fun filled and informative community celebration.
This event, which focuses on public interaction with their first responders, also features major displays of all specialized equipment utilized by our law enforcement and public safety members and will feature K-9, Posse and CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department rescue events. This event includes a host of activities for children of all ages. These fun and interactive events will be followed with an evening picnic barbeque in the park.
If you have any questions, or would like to be a vendor or support the event, please contact Corporal Victor Goodson at office (951) 210-1014.
