On 08-04-14, at approximately 11:30PM, AEPD units were dispatched to a residence on Clarendon Avenue (02-100 block) in reference to a burglary.
Upon arrival and initial investigation, it was noted that a resident was awakened by sounds of footsteps. The resident proceeded to call out, at which time the perpetrator fled. Further investigation revealed that the perpetrator made entry through a kitchen window and fled through the same.
At the time of the report it appeared that nothing had been taken. Investigations was called to the location and processed the scene. No known subjects are known at the present time. Anyone having possible information pertaining to the incident is asked to contact Inv. Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526.
Residents are reminded to always secure all windows and doors upon retiring for the evening. Also, turn on available outdoor lighting (yard, porch, carport & etc...).
