Kern County Sheriff’s Office Promotes Victim Notification Program
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce our participation in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Victim Notification Program.
Homeland Security Investigations, and the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, are committed to protecting the public and ensuring that the rights of victims and witnesses are carefully observed. The Victim Notification Program allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable and timely information regarding a criminal alien’s release from custody.
The program does require victims and witnesses to register with (HSI) in order to receive notification of a criminal alien’s release. To assist (HSI), the Sheriff’s Office has placed a hyper-link on the Sheriff’s Office website to allow Kern County residents easy access to sign up for the program.
To access the (HSI) hyper-link, simply log onto the Sheriff’s Office website at www.kernsheriff.com and click on the hyper-link, www.ice.gov/victim-notification/
