Active Shooter training with JPL Police, CHP, JPL Fire Dept, LA County Fire Dept; led by LA County Sheriffs Office

Altadena CHP officers participated in an Active Shooter training lead by the Altadena and La Crescenta Los Angeles County Sheriff Stations.

The training was facilitated at the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL), in Pasadena.

The Active Shooter training also involved other departments such as JPL Federal Police, JPL Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Fire Department. In addition to Active Shooter scenarios, we included training in dealing with people who have mental illnesses, domestic violence training, patrol enforcement tactics, hostage rescue and officer down rescue.

Officers participated in these scenarios as a joint unit using non-lethal munition weapons.

This training is crucial for all governmental agencies in order to respond to critical incidents. Our goal as a department is to maximize service to the public in need of aid and to assist allied agencies.

The California Highway Patrol stands ready alongside our allied agencies to serve the residents of Los Angeles County!
