Additionally, PTO will present a wonderful fundraising opportunity for the school. Representatives from J & K Mitchell will join with parents and teachers for a Drive for the Kids® fundraiser to help raise money for Martinsville Elementary School at the Open House.
Between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm, parents and guests can earn a $10 contribution for the school from Chrysler brand by taking a brief test drive in the company’s award-winning minivan, the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country. Any licensed driver, age 18 or older, may drive for the donation. J & K Mitchell will provide minivans and dealership volunteers to answer questions and help out with the fundraising test drives.
“Open House will be fun for the whole family,” said school Principal Victoria Norton, “and we are pleased to have this opportunity from Chrysler and for the civic organizations, service providers, and healthcare workers that will provide a variety of resources for our children and families!
In 1993, Chrysler introduced Drive for the Kids® and became the first automotive manufacturer to directly support schools in the communities where the company does business. Since then, dealers like J & K Mitchell have worked with parents in communities across the country, and Chrysler brand has contributed over $5 million to local schools.
