Sullivan's Island is now back on CWS Water. OUTSIDE WATER USAGE IS NO LONGER RESTRICTED. WATER AWAY. SI staff are actively turning all irrigation meters back on today.
CWS diligently repaired their 24" main break under Charleston Harbor working throughout the weekend. The repair has been made, the line under the harbor has been flushed, water quality samples have been confirmed good and DHEC has been notified. It will take a day or two for the CWS water to flow throughout our distribution system. By having this SI/IOP Interconnect in place we were able to avoid a boil water notice and maintain Fire Protection. Thank you all for your patients. Water quality will be back to normal within a day or two.
