Rocket Shot 5K to Affect Scott Rd. on Saturday, 8/23
The First Annual Rocket Shot 5K Road Race in memory
of Roswell resident Jamie McHenry will take place at Centennial High School on Saturday, August 23.
Scott Rd. will be closed to westbound traffic from Nesbit Ferry Rd. to Centennial Way at approximately 7:20 a.m. The race will start at Centennial High School at 7:30 a.m.
Runners will use the westbound travel lanes on Scott Rd. for the entire race—running to Hillside Elementary School and then up to Nesbit Ferry Rd. and back to finish at the high school. The eastbound lane of Scott Rd. will be open to vehicular traffic during the race.
Police Officers will be stationed at key intersections and subdivisions to facilitate traffic flow and safety. Roads will be reopened at 9:00–9:15 a.m.
