UPDATE:
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station enjoys a strong community partnership with the residents our deputies serve.
Yesterday afternoon, at approximately 1:30 pm, detectives released photos of two persons of interest who appeared on a victim’s “cloud” account days after a residential burglary occurred. Detectives asked for the public’s assistance in identifying the two people shown in the photographs so that detectives may speak with them in order to further the residential burglary investigation.
We appreciate the public and media attention gained through sharing information about the persons of interest. As a result, the male person of interest in the photo reached out to the sheriff’s department, identified himself, and is cooperating with the handling detective working this case. The female person of interest was also identified with the public’s help.
As a result of the persons of interest now being identified, the “selfie” photographs have been removed from this press release.
The investigation is on-going and no further information is being released at this time.
