Missing Work Release Inmate
PIERRE, S.D.- Department of Corrections staff members and local law enforcement are searching for a missing state prison inmate in Pierre.
Inmate Bridget Franzen failed to report to a work release job site Aug. 23.
Franzen is a 31-year-old white female with brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
Franzen is currently serving a 5-year sentence for possession of a controlled substance out of Pennington County.
Anyone who sees Franzen or knows of her whereabouts should contact law enforcement immediately.
There are more than 900 minimum security inmates housed across the state, including nearly 200 in Pierre. There are approximately 170 inmates on work release status across the state.
