Police Recover Stolen iPad
On August 24, 2014 at approximately 12:10 p.m., Sergeant Reyes was on patrol in 700 block of E Street when he observed a man riding a bicycle in violation of the vehicle code. The bicyclist fled in an apparent attempt to get away from the sergeant. Sergeant Reyes caught up to the bicyclist, 34-year-old Allen Roy Bossard of Los Banos in the 500 block of 6th Street.
The sergeant located drug paraphernalia and a stolen iPad in Bossard’s possession. The iPad was stolen on August 22, 2014, during a residential burglary.
“Recovering stolen property and returning it to its rightful owner is always a rewarding feeling. This was just good old fashion, boots on the ground police work and I commend Sergeant Reyes for his efforts.”
- Jason Hedden, Police Commander
Bossard was booked into the Los Banos Police Department Jail Facility for the charge of burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine. Bossard remains in custody at the John Latorraca Correctional Facility in lieu of $72,000.00.
