WHAT: Daily Lane Closures between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 26, 2014 through Thursday, September 4, 2014
WHERE: Eight Mile Road from Rushton Rd to Spencer Rd in Northfield Township
WHY: Drainage improvements
BACKGROUND: On Tuesday, August 26, 2014, the Washtenaw County Road Commission will begin drainage improvements, including berm removal, ditching and culvert replacements in advance of the limestone resurfacing to take place in September on Eight Mile Road from Rushton Road to Spencer Road.
During these daytime activities, traffic will be restricted under flag control operations. Access for residents and deliveries will be maintained, however, delays are possible. Please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of construction equipment and personnel and reduce speeds accordingly. The Washtenaw County Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as we continue our efforts to preserve the county road system.
