Severe Weather moving into the area, All Detroit 300 Missions cancelled for Today. Flood & Lighting Warning in Effect

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for Wayne and eastern Washtenaw counties until 5:30 pm EDT. At 4:25 pm EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Fenton to South Lyon to Ypsilanti, and moving east at 45 mph.

Hazard, 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source, radar indicated.

Impact: hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding and trees.

Severe thunderstorms will be near. Willis and Plymouth around 4:35 pm EDT.

Sumpter Township and Livonia around 4:40 pm EDT.

Willow and Wayne around 4:45 pm EDT.

Dearborn Heights and Taylor around 4:50 pm EDT.

Woodhaven and Southgate around 4:55 pm EDT.

Detroit and Wyandotte around 5:00 pm EDT.

A Second Severe Storm was located near downtown Detroit moving east at 25 mph. This storm will be near Grosse Pointe at 4:45 pm EDT.
