Last nights parade went off without a hitch. Although a little rain greeted us just before the start, it seemed to take away a bit of the heat for everyone.

We would like to thank the Alexandria Fair Board Staff who worked tirelessly to make this all happen. The partnership created this year between the City and the Fair Board was second to none. We would also like to thank the parade participants for listening and adhering to road closures, arrival times and drop off points. Everyone working together made this a banner year for safety.

The Alexandria Fair & Horse Show runs the rest of the week through Monday. If you haven't been up there in a while we strongly recommend bringing your family for a great time of food, friends & exhibits. Don't forget to go by "Hilt's Hut" for some of their fantastic food too. This is truly a wonderful family event. Don't miss it!
