Sellersburg Troopers Receive Awards

Yesterday afternoon, Indiana State Police held an awards and recognition ceremony in Indianapolis to honor members of the department from around the state for their dedication to service, bravery and devotion to the department and the citizens of Indiana.
2013 Trooper of the District Award
During the ceremony, Trooper Christopher Tucker was recognized as the 2013 Trooper of the District for Sellersburg. Trooper Tucker exemplifies what being a trooper is all about with his overall hard work in criminal, traffic and public service. He patrols primarily in Harrison County
Life Awards
Trooper Michael Davis and Trooper Patrick Stinson received the Indiana State Police Life Awards for their commitment to removing impaired drivers from Indiana roadways in 2013. Combined, Trooper Davis and Trooper Stinson removed 396 impaired drivers from Indiana Roadways. Trooper Davis was the top DWI arrest trooper in the state police with 205 DWI arrests. Trooper Stinson was close behind with 191 DWI arrests. Both trooper’s Stinson and Davis patrol primarily in Clark and Floyd Counties.
